I stayed here during a conference and I'd stay here again if I return to
Portland. Couldn't have asked for more in a downtown location. There's a full
kitchen. Two closets. The bed is comfortable. Heck, I could live here. The
breakfast is really really nice for a hotel breakfast -- nice as in hot eggs and
potatoes and accoutrements. The room is very clean, with a full kitchen and
living area. And the people are extremely helpful. My corkscrew broke off in the
cork and they called in the maintenance person with the needle-nose pliers. The
desk clerk, the manager, and the maintenance person all tended to my wine
bottle. What more could you want?

Close to highway, cineplex, mall, quaint restaurants and free public light rail.
Good parking and Wifi. Decent suite for the money--good working kitchen. Great
dry-cleaning. Pool was covered for winter. Modern machines, but small workout
room. Great Staff! Cleaning was thorough. Breakfast staff were friendly and
accommodating. Desk clerks were attentive and efficient. Zack at the front desk
was so helpful and thoughtful and really knows the area. Unusually good free
coffee, tea, & hot chocolate. Great breakfasts, a free dinner--even a wine
tasting.

Outstanding facility for long-term business travelers. Enjoyed the access to the
freeway, shopping, etc.

We visit our daughter and granddaughter in Portland often, and have stayed at
this Residence Inn at least 40 times over the past 15 years or so. It's a great
value for the money. We get the Studio Suite, which has a bedroom area and
living room area, and a full, fully equipped kitchen, in which we've cooked many
a dinner for us and our family. The rooms are spacious, and always very clean
and well-maintained, and we've always found the bed to be very comfortable.
The free breakfast offers a good choice of hot and cold items, and tea, cofee,
and hot chocolate are available at all times. We like the free Wi-Fi, and the
complimentary popcorn, and a few evenings a week a light meal or outdoor BBQ is
provided.
The pool is adequate for our needs, and is clean and well-maintained, with extra
towels available.
Staff is great -- friendly and helpful and always available.
Since we discovered the Residence Inn, we've never stayed anywhere else.

We have stayed in multiple Marriott properties over the past few years and this
was easily the worst bed we have ever experienced. It was a total brick. Plain
and simple. Fine breakfast, good staff support, lousy bed. Also, beware of VERY
high speed bumps throughout the property. We had to crawl over them in a station
wagon to not bottom out. |
