Great hotel, good staff, friendly valet, the doorman RAN to open the door for
us, large rooms ( I had a deluxe double queen), great location, free internet,
low key staff - friendly but not in your face, great beds.... What else could
you ask for?
Seriously what else could anyone ask for?
This is a great hotel.

We stayed in a wonderful room with a rooftop spa on the balcony, and the stay
could have been quite lovely, if it were not for the noise. I certainly
understand that renovations are necessary, but we booked a couples' massage for
our first evening, and there was very noisy construction going on right in the
room next to us! There was no mention of the potential noise at the time I
booked the massage - no "oh, I see that you're booking your massage during a
peak construction time, may I suggest postponing the massage to a later hour,
until after the construction has stopped." The noise went on until late-ish in
the evening (8 pr 9pm) and started again the next morning by 9am. I really wish
that there had been *some* mention of this when I booked the room, or checked
in. I called the manager a couple of times to try to switch rooms, but to no
avail. We were eventually comped a small portion of the room fee, but the entire
experience and poor management still left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will
not be returning.

Our room (2 queens) was absolutely huge. Tons of room to walk around, nice desk
and sitting areas. The bathroom was equally large with lots of shelves. Room was
well appointed and clean. Minibar has everything you could possibly want or
forgot to bring with you. Exercise room was small but good. Office charged $6 to
use their computer for every 15 minutes you use it, and printing costs an arm
and a leg too. Free high speed internet if you sign up for their rewards
program.
Restaurant in the hotel was great fresh pasta and Italian food.
2 block walk to the light rail.

My husband I were celebrating a milestone birthday and anniversary with a trip
to Portland. This hotel was exceptional in every way. Great front desk help,
lovely evening wine reception and the hotel restaurant, Pazzo, was amazing as
well. Only little thing that could have made the stay nicer is a coffe maker in
the room!

So usually when I go on trips with my boyfriend I feel like we are treated like
we are little kids (we usually get mistaken for 15 to 17years old). and we
usually get no respect from hotel employees. but this place took me off guard.
they not only had fabulous rooms and bathrooms. but this beautiful hotel
welcomed my dog too. the room looks into the eye of Portland.
