We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express over Christmas while visiting relatives.
The hotel is close to restaurants, a strip shopping center (Targets, etc), the
Interstate and public transportation.
We were greeted by the smell of baking cookies and a friendly desk clerk who
told us to help ourselves to the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in the
breakfast room. Our 2nd floor room was clean, had 2 queen beds, a coffee maker
and dorm-sized refrigerator. The beds were comfortable (soft & hard pillows are
provided) and the room quiet. Other than the bagel & orange juice my husband had
the morning we checked out we didn't take advantage of the complimentary
breakfast. We appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. Arrangements were
made the afternoon before our early departure and the driver was waiting for us
in the lobby next morning. The staff were great - helpful and courteous. We will
stay here again.

We stayed here last week and found it to be the best Holiday Inn we have ever
stayed at...We called the hotel at 130am, after getting into town and the
gentleman was so polite on the phone and told me all he had was a suite but that
he would absolutely give it to me at a discounted rate of $99. The room was so
clean, comfortable with wireless internet. We woke in the morning to an
incredible breakfast including eggs, bacon, bagels, toast, cereals ect, what an
awesome continental breakfast. The hotel was so clean and our experience was so
fantastic and we will be back for sure every time we stay in Portland!

I am a flight attendant and stayed here once a week for the month of April. I
have also stayed here off and on for the last 10 years, as it is our crew hotel.
I have stayed at many hotels over the years, including other Holiday Inn
Express's and I have to say this one leaves much to be desired. The beds are
comfortable, but the carpets are stained, the showers are not clean, and the
walls are paper thin. There also seems to be an ant problem. I stayed in three
different rooms for the month, and each morning I woke to ants crawling across
the desk or bedside table. When I let the front desk know, the answer was "well
you know it is breeding season". And finally, there is a woodpecker on the roof
that starts pecking at 6AM and does not stop!! When I brought this to their
attention, they told me there was nothing they could do about it.
If I did not have to stay here as part of my job, I would not!

We stayed at this hotel - in town for Grandma's funeral. We were originally
booked into the Comfort Inn & Suites on 82nd; but my aunt who lives there
changed the reservation to here as it's in a safer neighborhood. We were not
disappointed. The room was clean, the beds were normal (not rock hard), the
staff were very friendly and breakfast was the usual continental plus scrambled
eggs, bacon and sausage gravy & biscuits. Not to shabby for $90/night! No
complaints here.
