we arrived in Portland during a heat wave and the first room we were given did not have a properly functioning AC so we moved to another room where we did not have any problems with the AC. our room had two double beds, t.v., mini-fridge and microwave and it was a decent size. our room did have a funny odor to it and there was a hole in the sheet from a cigarette. in the morning, there are Danishes, doughnuts, juice, coffee and muffins in the lobby. the front desk people were helpful and there is free wi-fi. the hotel is conveniently located to the interstate and it is within driving distance of the different sights and downtown Portland. the area around the hotel is a bit rundown though and does not look like an area you would want to walk around. there are fast food restaurants nearby along with a grocery store. if you're looking for a basic hotel with no frills, then you should be okay with this hotel. pretty much you get what you pay for with this place.

I just needed one night - nothing fancy and this place worked for that. It is less than a mile off I-205 and located just off 82nd Ave - a sea of strip malls and fast food places.
The room was clean, but the furnishings are showing signs of wear. The mattress was older and getting soft. But the sheets and pillowcases were clean. I think I may have caught this place in the middle of a refresh/remodel. I noticed the carpet and the vanity in my room appeared newer and the bathroom had been recently repainted.
I was on the ground floor, king size bed, non-smoking room. The room had a small love seat, a table and two chairs, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. There was also a hair dryer and alarm clock. The TV has cable and HBO. AC worked perfectly! (it was 105 degrees in Portland that day) There was lots of counter space on the room divider and the room felt rather large. I had a king-sized bed and I think they have rooms with two queen-sized beds as well.
Noise wasn't bad. I did here a few noises from upstairs, but not a lot and it did not continue into the night.
They have open, free wi-fi and it works and it was fast!
The two staff members I ran into were very nice and helpful. Check in was fast. Breakfast was boxed donuts and English Muffins with jam. Coffee was available, I don't know about other drinks. But maybe I just came late to the breakfast (about 9:45 and it ends at 10:00 AM) but there didn't seem to be any variety. Local newspaper was provided.
My only actual complaint is that they provide shampoo and shower gel in those wall-mounted dispensers - and the shampoo was empty. Something I didn't notice until morning and already in the shower. And the dispenser was very stingy with the shower gel! :)
It has the basics, and that is what I was looking for. It may not be the kind of place I would recommend as *the best* but I would stay there again.

This was very handy to visit family locally. We did not need the top end of accommodation, but require clean and comfortable.
This is excally what we got, location good with regards to supermarket, restaurants etc (all walking distance) Room was clean, breakfast collected from reception.
