Stayed here 1 night on our way through Portland and had a great time, we chose
to stay on the "quiet" side and would recommend it for any light sleepers, we
had a great kitschy room, friendly help from the staff, safe underground parking
and an over all great experience. beds weren't as comfortable as possible, but
nothing we couldn't handle. There is a great tented common space between the two
sides of the hotel that you can hang out in and have a drink. I would recommend
this hotel to any young travellers that are on a budget but want to stay in a
place that is still hip.

Awesome hotel, right close to downtown but more importantly close to the cool
bars on E Burnside and nearby! Even better that part of the hotel is a bar and
venue (The Douglas Fir) that's so awesome you don't even feel guilty if you just
drink there and don't make it further afield!
Walls are paper thin but they provide earplugs and we had so much fun we were
out cold the minute the head hit the pillow anyhow! Like the speakers in the
room so you can play music straight from any mp3 player too :)
Staff were super friendly, too.

Something to be said for being able to get your drink on and stumble back into
time to a room at the Jupiter Hotel. Hotel reminds me of a 70s LA motel. Rooms
are straight out of an IKEA catalogue, but hey I love IKEA! Simple and modern,
great place to stay

I recently attended an event at the Jupiter Hotel. While I did not actually
check in and stay at the Jupiter, I was given a quick tour by our very gracious
host, Al Munguia. His hotel is fabulous, and is a great example of a business
that's created, projected, and now shares with everyone who goes there its very
distinct energy, culture, and soul. I look forward to finding an excuse to stay
in Portland soon so I can stay at the Jupiter Hotel. Not to mention take
advantage of its top notch restaurant the Doug Fir.

Hotel was very clean and had a style all its own. Rooms are small, but for one
person they did the trick. Staff was very friendly and helpful - - they seem to
know where everything is. drinks aren't watered down and food is TO DIE FOR!!
The chef at the Doug Fir is absolutely first rate!! Hotel is environmentally
friendly, which was a very nice change of pace. Even though I was near the
courtyard and there were a few bands playing, I heard nothing at all. Couldn't
figure out how to turn on the shower so I just took baths every morning ... not
something I do often, so it was a nice change.
