I recently stayed at the Hotel Lucia for a quick weekend trip. I have been
visiting Portland for several years because my daughter attended college there
and now lives there. I had passed by the Hotel Lucia many times and thought it
looked interesting. I decided to stay there this visit. My room, while slightly
small, was very well appointed. I especially loved all of the David Hume
Kennerly photos that appear throughout the hotel and in the rooms as well.
Initially I was disappointed that my room did not have a view, but realized that
this made for a very quiet room. The rooms that face Broadway must have
considerably more noise than the ones that face the inner courtyard. I had
difficulty with the hair care products that were provided in the room and told
the front desk about this problem (the spray shampoo did not provide enough
shampoo to wash my hair and the conditioner's packaging was too rigid to squeeze
to get any product out onto my hand). The front desk crew very generously
offered to get me some products that I could use to wash my hair and these were
waiting for me when I returned to the room later that day. This hotel's location
is great. I found the best rate for this hotel through Booking.com but the hotel
did tell me that if I found a lower rate on a website than those on their
website, they would match the price.

Warm, friendly accommodating staff. Clean, beautiful hotel, great location. Will
definitely be back..

I'd have to say one reason why we chose Hotel Lucia were the comments on how
comfortable the beds were and they were right! Now we need to call and ask what
brand they were because we are in the market for a new one. We had a overnight
stay to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great time. The room was small
but that's no complaint for one night. Would certainly recommend to others.

I would like to thank all people working at Hotel Lucia for the excellent jobs
they are doing. The GM Mr Bebo, is a great leader to this amazing team. I had
approached several hotels (in same street of Lucia) for reservation. The most at
tentative was Mr Bebo. It was an easy choice for me: he welcomed my reservation
and assign an excellent room for me. The check in was very smooth. Room was
comfortably spacious (it was a complimentary upgrade from the GM) bathroom was
super clean, big and modern! Staff were so friendly yet professional. They
guided me to best Food Carts, tourist sights and more.
However, I have a comment on 2 things: the mattress was too soft for my
husband's liking. He was not that comfortable, but I did not mind it at all.
Second, a little improvement may be done to the room service menu. Adding a
couple more items, maybe, would be excellent. If those matters put in
considerations and changed......this Hotel would be Flawless!
The Lucia hotel has cozy atmosphere starting with the lobby till the room.
Returning Customer? Absolutely!!!!!

The hotel is beautiful, ideally located and has a cool bar. Most importantly,
the staff is highly attentive and ready to answer questions before you even ask.
We had a great time here!
The room was clean and modern, but very, very small. My wife and I had to
'pardon me' and 'excuse me' as we moved about. Tiny.
