Nice hotel close to the downtown attractions of Portland, OR. Things are a little sketchy out the back door towards Burnside but once you figure out your surroundings, you'll be just fine.
The hotel is beautiful, rooms are spotless, and lobby outstanding. The staff was more than willing to give tips about places to eat and things to do in the area.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and suggest you do so if you're looking to be downtown!

The hotel was well-situated was a good value, overall, Rooms are huge and very comfortable - separate living room from bedroom. Included breakfast was nice. I do wish they had a mini-bar but other than that I'd certainly recommend and would stay there again

Recently stayed here for 4 days for a wedding. Kids really enjoyed the big pool and two hot tubs. Although not really a far of breakfast buffets, with the omelette bar, this breakfast is great. Only complaint was the noise - I am not sure what it was exactly (possible a nightclub), but we were on the 7th floor (of 8) and heard a loud bass thumping for hours at night.
We got the two bedroom suite and it was huge. Furniture was a little outdated, but the space was so big, it worked out great for a family of 4.

Just got back from a one night stay at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Portland. The hotel is located one seemed like a centrally located area. The hotel is older but well taken care of and very clean. There are some characters near the hotel but we always felt very safe. Our room was very nice, clean and large. Loved the managers happy hour and the kids really got a kick out of the popcorn and pop fountain. Pool & Spa area were okay. They ended up having to close it because someone broke glass in the hot tub. Wasn't at ALL the hotels fault. Kids did enjoy a quick swim before they had to get out of the pool. Quite a few places near the hotel to eat that were very good. Loved how close it is to the Saturday Market and Voodoo doughnuts. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They couldn't have been nicer. Kyoko was especially great! We all enjoyed the breakfast and the Omelettes were very good.
Overall this a great hotel and we would definitely return to the Embassy Suites. You can't beat the price that we got and this is a great value. We all really had a great time here. Wish we could have spent another night or two to enjoy Portland. You'll be happy you chose this hotel if you are looking for good family value hotel!

I stayed at this hotel with some friends for a weekend get-away in Portland. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. The only problem was a minimum of closet space for 3 females! Beds were comfortable. The complementary breakfast was incredible with lots of choices including an omelette bar! There was also a Happy Hour featuring wine and draft beer.
The location is very close to the train station and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We also rode the tram and streetcar, which is free within the downtown area.
All in all it was a great weekend!
